Koonung Secondary College is located in Mont Albert North (City of Whitehorse) in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. It is a leading state government school with an outstanding transition program, cutting edge curriculum and excellent VCE results. We were one of three Victorian schools selected to participate in an OECD study on successful secondary schools.

The College is in a period of growth with enrolments growing from 815 in 2006 to well over 1000 in 2009. Koonung offers quality programs within a supportive and well-regulated environment. The balance between academic rigour and wide-ranging co-curricular activities is often quoted as a major attraction by prospective students and parents.

The College is in the Building Futures program - This will see a multi-million dollar upgrade or rebuild of the school's facilities in the next few years.

Our current facilities include a threatre complex, an ICT rich library and junior school learning space, two gymnasiums, an extensive computer network, a senior study centre and a magnificent Hockey and Tennis facility.
